SQA Results 2018

Elgin Academy students have achieved another overall very strong set of exam results. Congratulations to all our students who achieved what they’re hoped for or better in their exam results, received today. If students are disappointed, they should take full advantage of the support and advice available. Our colleagues at Skills Development Scotland are available on their helpline 0808 100 8000. A clear message for all is they, whatever you results, they do not define you – there are so many more opportunities and pathways (please have a look at the #nowrongpathway campaign on Twitter).

Particularly strong this year are the S5 results, second best percentage ever in 1+, 3+ and 5+ Higher measures.

There are some tremendous individual performances. 16 pupils in S4 received 6 As at National 5 – Vivienne Boyd, Daniel Campbell, Joe Gauld, Beth Grant, Matthew Hamilton, Jolie Henderson, Jacob Holder, Kirsty McLeod, Natasha Ogle, James Orr, Hannah Retson, Morven Ross, Ellis Saunders, Aiden Smith, Oliver Stalker and Nathan Urwin. Luisa Bokor achieved 5 As at National 5 and an A at Advanced Higher. 7 pupils received 5 As at Higher in S5 – Marina Allen, Ellen Barclay, Rana Bedawi, Beth Carmichael, Rhea Fraser, Tom Jenkins and Callum Nairn. IN S6, Euan McIntyre gained 3 As at Advanced Higher.

it is important to recognise the efforts and hard work of all involved – our students, school staff and parents, with the support of our many school partners. Well done and thank you to all.
